About this Specialist Talk
This workshop runs over two sessions, and we ask that you only book a place if you are able to attend both.
These in-person workshops will give parents lots of practical ideas to help with the transition and changes associated with the move into secondary school for children with additional needs. It is suitable for parents who have children with additional needs in years 4 to 6 in a mainstream school.
Over the two sessions the following topics will be covered:
- Understanding support at secondary school
- Information gathering
- Preparing your child for the transition
- Organisation skills
- Problem solving skills
- Emotional regulation
- Sensory considerations
- Navigating friendships and bullying
Please note: We are unable accommodate children at these sessions.
