Pace
Pace is a charity that transforms the lives of children and young people with cerebral palsy and other similar sensory motor conditions.
Overview
Pace is a groundbreaking children’s charity that transforms the lives of children and young people with sensory motor disorders, such as cerebral palsy. Fundamental to their approach is a belief in every child’s ability to learn and make progress, whatever the physical or sensory challenges they face. Their overriding goal is to help children and young people with physical disabilities to achieve their full potential and to be as independent as possible in their current and future lives.
Pace has an ‘Outstanding’ school for children and young people aged between 4 and 16 in Buckinghamshire. In addition to delivering a first class education, their highly skilled trans-disciplinary teams of therapists work in close collaboration with teachers to provide a fully integrated curriculum and a rich, individually tailored learning environment for the children. Pace understands the specific challenges that sensory processing disorders and cerebral palsy present.
In addition to its school services, Pace delivers sessional therapy services through its Child & Family team, including early intervention for babies and toddlers at the point at which they can make the greatest possible impact on future ability.
