Colchester United Football in the Community have launched two disability programmes to support children across the local area.

The U’s community scheme has launched pan-disability football, along with frame and wheelchair multi-sports.

The pan-disability football sessions will run throughout term time and are aimed at all additional needs. The programme will takes place on their state of the art 3G pitch, and offers the opportunity to participate in exciting and engaging practices. As well as developing skills within football, the programme will also help improve social skills and confidence.

The frame and wheelchair multi-sport sessions will run throughout term time and will consist of various sports delivered indoors to participants using either frames or wheelchairs. The aim of our programme is to create an enjoyable and safe environment for everybody to enjoy sport. During this programme, we will look to develop sporting skills, as well as social skills and confidence.
