Overview

BIRD (Brain Injury Rehabilitation & Development) is a therapy programme for conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, developmental delay and learning difficulties.

Treatment involves a neurological assessment to devise a daily exercise programme characterised by a series of movement patterns, which help to provide feedback to the child’s brain in an attempt to inhibit ‘primitive’ reflexes that hinder the patient’s development.

Each patient’s progress is closely monitored.
