A memorable day for a community champion

Among those pounding the streets of Brentwood raising cash for local charities this weekend in the Brentwood Half Marathon and Fun Run annual event will be Lee Green, who is taking part in the Fun Run to support SNAP.
“When our son was diagnosed with ADHD the doctor recommended we contact SNAP and it has been a lifeline for our family,” says Lee.
“SNAP have been a supportive ear on the end of the phone while dealing with the many issues you encounter as a parent of a child with ADHD… we have attended training sessions organised by SNAP which has allowed us to better understand ADHD and how to support our son,” he adds.
Lee will be supported by his wife Michelle, their three children and his parents as he aims to complete the Fun Run in under 30 minutes.
“SNAP has helped an incredible amount over the last year and has asked for nothing in return. The run is our chance to raise funds and awareness,” he says.
Lee is the latest in a long line of runners whose participation in the Brentwood Half Marathon has helped raise many thousands of pounds for SNAP.
“We are hugely grateful to all our runners taking part in this year’s event to support SNAP and wish them good luck and to the organisers for the tireless work they put in every year to ensure local charities like ourselves benefit as a result,” says Robert Dennis, SNAP’s Community Fundraising Manager.
