Realise Futures is a supported employment service.

The service helps people with disabilities to learn new skills and get a job. It is provided in Tendring and is accessed via a referral from a social worker.

They can support people to:

• find paid work
• learn new skills
• have access to training
• increase confidence
• have choice and control
• be happy and safe at work
• have regular reviews and develop a career

An Employment Adviser will help with finding a job. They can advise on available training, applications, interview preparation, travel and welfare benefits.

Realise Futures works with local employers to find suitable companies for work trials and paid jobs.

Once a job is found, an In-Work Support Advisor will work with the individual and their employer to arrange the support they need in work. This could be through job coaching, training, assistive technology, regular reviews, or applying for funding such as ‘Access to Work’.
